Who is the one-to-one reading programme suitable for?

The reading programme has been designed for children who are at risk of not meeting the expected standard in reading. For example:

  • Children working towards the expected standard for their year group
  • Those on the cusp of reading at the expected standard who just need a little boost to get them there
  • Those children reading at the expected standard but are at risk of falling back
  • Children who lack reading confidence, may not get to read 1:1 at home, or those reluctant readers who lack enthusiasm for reading

The programme can accommodate SEN children, however, we would ask that you discuss this with your School Relationship Manager before publishing so we can ensure this is the right intervention for the child.
