Discover the Rocket Book pack for primary schools
The Autumn term Bookmark Book Rocket Pack is underway! The aim of the pack is to support our mission to help every child to read, and to help to build whole school reading cultures in primary schools.
In the Summer term, we asked Dean Boddington, KS1 teacher, parent and book lover, to curate the fourth Book Rocket Pack of amazing graphic novels for children. These were distributed to our Silver, Gold and Platinum Partner Schools.
We’re doing the same this Autumn term but with a brand new pack curated by Helen Thewlis, Sales and Marketing Director at What on Earth Books!
These packs will ensure that children participating in Bookmark reading programmes and across the school will have access to high-quality, diverse reading material.
We offer many additional benefits to our partner schools over and above our reading programmes; find out more about our Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum packages here.
THE FIFTH PACK
We’re delighted to have the next Bookmark Book Rocket Pack be curated by What on Earth Books.
These packs will be distributed to the winner and our Silver, Gold and Platinum Partner Schools in January.

I’m Helen Thewlis, the What on Earth Books Sales and Marketing Director, a parent and book lover.
At What on Earth Books we publish children’s non-fiction books that engage their natural curiosity and passion for learning. We offer our readers diverse perspectives on the world, and help them connect the dots of knowledge to build a lifetime love of learning.
I am a passionate believer that the joy of reading and books should be for all and I was delighted to be asked to curate this term’s Reading Rockets pack. I’ve picked a range of books packed full of fun which will leave children brimming with excitement with what they’ve discovered and a big smile on their face.
Facts are truly fascinating, and they will uncover hundreds of them inside the covers of FACTOPIA and Gross FACTopia. Did you know that a squid has a brain shaped like a doughnut? Or that poo from crocodiles was sometimes used as make-up in ancient Rome? Learn how to talk like 66 different Animals in How to Chat Chicken or delve into the world of 300 ingenious lists that organise the best bits of our awesome world in Listified. From budding scientists to animal lovers, there is something for everyone to enjoy in this Reading Rockets Pack. I hope you enjoy reading the books as much as I have enjoyed choosing the range, and working with our talented team who made them.
It all comes down to this: The real world is far more amazing than anything you can make up, and these books are packed full of stupendous real life facts! Enjoy!!!
