Helen has been working with Bookmark as the Chair of its Operations Board since the start of this academic year, providing oversight on improvements to our operations.

A Chartered Civil engineer, with over 20 years’ experience, Helen has worked across many sectors in operational, sales and business management roles. Helen started her career in a global construction and services business and after 15 years moved into Software, now working at Health Safety and ESG software company EcoOnline as their Chief Customer Officer.

Mother to three children and passionate about books and reading, she is keen to use her business skills to support Bookmark Reading Charity in their efforts to improve outcomes for children.

Helen joined the Board on 1 April 2024, as Charlie finished his role, having served four and a half years with the Charity, joining in 2019. Charlie has been a Trustee of the organisation as it has grown to deliver its 100,000th reading session earlier this year and expanded literacy programmes to support children in primary schools across the country.

We are thankful for all of Charlie’s support over his term with Bookmark and are delighted to welcome Helen to the Board
