The Story Corner Magazine

Our termly magazine provides children with access to high-quality, diverse reading materials. It is designed and distributed to children who might not have a book of their own at home.

Three children are sat on chairs in front of a wall with trees across them on a wallpaper. They are all in uniforms and are reading The Story Corner Magazine with them opened out across their laps.

Welcome to The Story Corner

Bookmark’s magazine, The Story Corner, is packed full of stories and activities to prevent learning loss outside school settings and spark the joy of reading.

With one in five children ages 5 – 10, not owning a book at home, The Story Corner magazine is something children can keep for themselves and take home.

What’s the story?

Almost a million copies of The Story Corner magazine have been given to children through schools and community settings including food banks, warm banks, prisons, hospitals and refuges. The magazine is produced three times a year in time for the school holidays.

The Story Corner magazines are amazing! The cover on the latest issue was beautiful. They are used during parent library sessions, given out to the school reading ambassadors as well as displayed in the library and around school. The Year 5 children were all also given a copy each to take home. The children love it, the staff love it and the parents love it!
