What your donation could do

Your donations help us to support children who are at risk of falling behind with their reading. Here are some examples of how your gift could make a difference:

  • £5

Gift a school a new book for their library

  • £14

Gift a school a headset to run our online reading programme

  • £50

Gift 115 children The Story Corner magazine to enjoy at home

We have received our books and we are so unbelievably grateful. The children are already very engaged and asking more to go into the reading area ... even at break time!

Payroll giving

Give something back on payday by making a monthly payroll donation to Bookmark. Giving regularly through your salary is easy and cost-effective as we can maximise the benefits of your donation. Donations are deducted before you pay tax. This means if you choose to donate £10, only £8 would be removed from your pay and we would claim the rest through Gift Aid from HMRC. Your generous gift would go even further towards helping children with their reading.

Contact your payroll manager and ask them to set up payroll giving for Bookmark Reading Charity. Please reach out to fundraising@bookmarkreading.org for further information.

Change the story for children like Daisy

Daisy struggled with reading before the programme. But she has since developed a love for reading and her confidence with choosing and engaging in books has increased significantly.

I like reading with my volunteer because they can help me have a try and I can get smarter.
