What does a corporate partnership with Bookmark look like?

At Bookmark, we create partnerships that deliver on impact and engagement.

There are lots of ways we partner with organisations, including:

  • Strategic partnerships
  • Charity of the Year
  • Employee fundraising
  • Corporate volunteering partnerships
  • Commercial campaigns
  • Gifts in kind and pro bono support

As an example of a recent partnership, Bookmark is currently a charity partner of the Barratt Foundation who support us with an annual grant to help more children in disadvantaged communities develop the reading skills and confidence they need to thrive. Our partnership has seen a number of highlights, including:

  • Bookmark’s expansion into Leicester, where a number of Barratt employees live and work, through our Your Story Corner initiative. In total, 22,400 books were gifted to these schools along with a host of other resources for pupils to deliver the reading enjoyment and motivation they need for a fair chance in life. The Barratt Foundation acted as a key partner to this expansion.

  • We developed the first Barratt Foundation The Story Corner magazine, themed around Building Homes and Communities. The magazine itself was distributed to 112,600 children through schools, foodbanks, shelters and more. Barratt Developments employees delivered copies to local organisations important to them.

  • Employees from Barratt Developments continue to get involved in personally supporting children to read through both fundraising and volunteering. Barratt volunteers have raised over £5,000 and delivered 100 one-to-one reading sessions to children, along with getting involved in other volunteering events such as tidying local school libraries.

If you are interested in partnering with Bookmark, please get in touch (link to form) and our Partnerships Team will reach out to you directly.

We’re very proud to partner with Bookmark and provide Barratt Developments PLC employees with meaningful opportunities to get involved to support children’s literacy. From putting books in the hands of children who need them the most to providing valuable one-to-one reading sessions, we are so excited to support Bookmark and their vital work improving children’s literacy in communities across the country.

Andy Button-Stephens, Head of the Barratt Foundation
